Needless to say this has consumed much of my recent thoughts. There are a variety of ways to read each line and to read in or out clues and then you have to figure out where this could be because the mountains north of Santa Fe is a mightly vast area. Trouble is you have to figure out what the 9 clues are and what they mean. It's simple you just follow the 9 clues in the poem. I'm sure many of you have heard about Forrest Fenn, the antiquities collector who buried a treasure chest for anyone to find. I'm really excited to go out hiking with the camera but am waiting for the weather to be a bit better and in the meantime I'll keep looking and hoping my copy of the book gets here too. This week I tied that clue in to two of the more promising locations I've found so far but more importantly I also read the clue in a few different ways which could make it easier in the future. I have a few likely locations I'm waiting to go explore and was bothered that I could not tie in the 'home of Brown' but I've often thought it might not be that important or might not tie in until I'm there if I ever find the right location. Of course understanding the clues doesn't pinpoint the location of the treasure just helps to pinpoint possible locations.

I'm fairly certain I understand all of the clues with the exception of 'home of Brown'. It said there were copies available when I ordered but I suspect I was in a long list of orders and by the time mine came up it was on back order again.

For one thing I wasn't getting anywhere and I was also disappointed my copy of the book had not arrived yet. Last week I took a full time break from thinking about the treasure and speculating on what any of the clues were or could mean.
